Hi, I’m Kady. I have been reading fantasy and Sci-fi for as long as I can remember, at least 25 years. To give you a flavor of who I am, authors that I enjoy include (in no particular order):

I am a fan of epic worldbuilding, clever comedy, interesting magic systems and fast paced action.

In recent years I have found myself re-reading my favourite books (mainly by the above authors) rather than striking out and finding new ones, part of my reason for starting this blog is that I want to challenge myself to find new stories to read. Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE re-reading my favourites, it’s like putting on my favourite oversized hoodie or catching up with a best friend who I haven't seen for a few years. Each re-read brings out something I didn’t spot before - I must have read the majority of the Discworld books at least three times each and I am still finding new puns (though that may just be the genius that as the late, great Sir Terry - GNU).

My hope for this website is that I will get to share with you why I think that the above authors are incredible story tellers AND I will start to feel inspired again to take a chance on new authors and new series. Essentially this is a place for me to shout loudly about books that I think are amazing.

My aim is to provide you with subjective book reviews which will hopefully help you to decide where to invest your time. I also foresee that this site will be the place that I can talk and talk and talk about books without the embarrassment of realising that I have been monopolising the now very scared stranger that I accosted in the SFF section of Forbidden Planet…
